
SAMI Advanced Electronics Launches Remal Computer Project with HP, Foxconn
SAMI Advanced Electronics Company (SAMI-AEC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), announced the launch of the Remal computer manufacturing project in strategic partnership with HP and Foxconn.
The project was inaugurated by SAMI-AEC CEO Eng. Ziad bin Hamoud Al-Musallam, marking a historic step toward localizing advanced digital industries and strengthening the Kingdom’s technology ecosystem.
According to a SAMI-AEC press release, the Remal project represents a transformative milestone in Saudi Arabia’s industrial journey, reinforcing the Kingdom’s digital manufacturing capabilities, reducing reliance on imports, and driving sustainable economic growth. This achievement underscores SAMI-AEC’s pivotal role as a national enabler of technological innovation, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a self-sufficient and globally competitive industrial base.

Through this initiative, SAMI-AEC strengthens its position as a regional hub for advanced technology manufacturing by expanding its portfolio to include high-value digital solutions produced entirely in the Kingdom. The release added that the project also enhances national competencies in production engineering, quality control, and digital system integration, which are key enablers of future-ready industrial growth.
