Esports World Cup Cements Kingdom's Global Hub Status for Sports, Culture, Tourism
Driven by major international events like the Esports World Cup 2025, Saudi Arabia has established itself as a leading global hub for sports, culture, and tourism, significantly enhancing its appeal to international visitors as a key component of the Kingdom's tourism strategy.
At yesterday's press conference for the Esports World Cup, attended by President of the Saudi Esports Federation Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, spokesperson for the Saudi Tourism Authority Abdullah Al Dakhil highlighted that such events are vital to the Kingdom's tourism goals. Last year's tournament attracted over three million visitors, with expectations for even higher attendance this year, coinciding with the Saudi Summer program, themed "Color Your Summer."
The Esports World Cup 2025 festival, running from July 7 to August 24 at Boulevard Riyadh City, will feature over 2,000 players from 200 teams worldwide. Activities will be spread across multiple zones designed to offer live, innovative experiences in an interactive environment for diverse audiences.
