Islamic Affairs Ministry Launches Scholarly Course for Preachers, Imams in Kenya
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Kenya, launched today in Nairobi a five-day scholarly course for preachers and imams, in the presence of a number of Islamic figures.
The course covers scholarly topics, most notably the fundamentals of Quran interpretation and the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah. It targets a group of preachers and students of knowledge, aiming to equip them with authentic Sharia knowledge based on the Quran and the Sunnah.
This course comes within the ministry's external programs and dawah activities to spread authentic Sharia knowledge in line with the approach of moderation and to highlight the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's message in clarifying the tolerance of Islam and rejecting extremism and radicalism.
