JIAT Issues Statement Regarding the Allegation that the Coalition Forces Targeted a Farm in Al-Watadah Area in Khawlan Directorate of Sana'a Governorate on 03/03/2021

A statement was issued by the Joint Incidents Assessment Team (JIAT) regarding the allegation that the Coalition Forces targeted (a farm) in (Al-Watadah) area in (Khawlan) Directorate of (Sana'a) Governorate on (03/03/2021); it reads as follows:
 "With regard to what was reported to JIAT, that at (13:00) on (03/03/2021) an airstrike targeted (a farm) in (Al- Watadah) area in (Khawlan) Directorate of (Sana'a) Governorate.
 JIAT vetted the incident, and reviewed all documents, including air tasking orders, daily mission schedule, mission execution procedures, after mission reports, satellite images, open sources, Coalition Forces rules of engagement, provisions and principles of International Humanitarian Law and its customary rules, and after assessment of evidences, JIAT found that the (Al- Watadah) area is located in the north east side of (Khawlan) Directorate in (Sana'a) Governorate, (no coordinates for the location of the claimed farm were provided).
 By studying the air missions carried out by the Coalition Forces on (03/03/2021), which is the date of the claim, JIAT found that the Coalition Forces did not carry out any air missions on (Al- Watadah) area.
 By studying the daily mission schedule carried out by the Coalition Forces one day prior and one day after the claimed date, JIAT found the following:
 On (02/03/2021) the day prior to the claimed date, JIAT found that the Coalition Forces did not carry out any air missions on (Al- Watadah) area.
 On (04/03/2021) the day after the claimed date, JIAT found that the Coalition Forces did not carry out any air missions on (Al- Watadah) area.
 JIAT search open sources for what was stated in the claim, and was unable to find any information about targeting (a farm) in (Al- Watadah) area in (Khawlan) Directorate of (Sana'a) Governorate.
 In light of that, JIAT found that Coalition Forces did not target (a farm) in (Al- Watadah) area in (Khawlan) Directorate of (Sana'a) Governorate, on (03/03/2021), as claimed".
