Mawani Signs Contract to Launch Development and Operation of Integrated Logistics Center at Yanbu Commercial Port
The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has signed a contract with Q Saudi to begin the development and operation of an integrated logistics center at Yanbu Commercial Port, with an investment value exceeding SAR29 million and covering an area of 120,490 square meters. The project will help increase handling capacity in line with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy’s goal of boosting the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub.
This initiative comes as part of Mawani’s efforts to enhance the infrastructure of the Kingdom’s ports, increase private sector contribution to the GDP, and reinforce the status of Yanbu Commercial Port as a strategic hub on the Red Sea.
Yanbu Commercial Port is one of the oldest ports on the western coast and serves as the second gateway for pilgrims' arrival and departure. The port includes 12 berths with a capacity exceeding 13.5 million tons, a passenger terminal with a capacity of 2,000 passengers, a general cargo terminal, and two silos for storing bulk materials with a capacity of 20,000 tons each.
