New Murabba Strengthens Saudi–Japan Investment Collaboration at FII PRIORITY Asia Summit in Tokyo
New Murabba, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, participated in FII PRIORITY Asia 2025 in Tokyo, a leading regional platform organized by the FII Institute. The event convened global policymakers, investors, and innovators under the theme “The New Asia.”
The summit highlighted Asia’s expanding economic influence and the growing role of cross-border partnerships in shaping the next generation of sustainable, technology-enabled destinations. For New Murabba, participation reinforced the deepening collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Japan in areas such as smart infrastructure, future cities, and sustainable development.
New Murabba CEO Michael Dyke took part in the plenary session “What Defines the Next Great Destination?” where he outlined New Murabba’s vision for Riyadh’s new downtown – a people-centered, future-ready urban district designed around walkability, sustainability, and next-generation technology.
Dyke stated: “Tokyo reflects incredible standards of precision, design and harmony – qualities that are shaping New Murabba. Our participation at FII PRIORITY Asia provided a strong platform to share Riyadh’s urban transformation story and explore areas where Japanese innovation and Saudi ambition can work together. We see enormous potential for collaboration across technology, mobility, sustainable development, and cultural exchange”.
During the summit, the New Murabba delegation held strategic discussions with leading Japanese companies, investors, and technology partners. These engagements focused on smart and sustainable infrastructure, advanced technology integration, mobility innovation, and cultural and creative collaboration. The meetings reinforced the momentum of Saudi–Japanese economic cooperation, reflecting shared ambitions to develop high-impact urban transformation and future-city initiatives.
New Murabba’s participation highlighted the growing international interest in Riyadh’s transformation and the role of development in shaping the global future of cities. As New Murabba advances – with more than 15 million cubic meters of earth moved, over 1,200 foundation piles installed, and thousands of workers on site – its global engagements serve to unlock new opportunities for innovation, partnership, and investment.
