National Wildlife Center Releases 63 Seabirds on Jeddah Corniche
The National Center for Wildlife (NCW) released 63 rehabilitated seabirds into their natural habitat along Jeddah Corniche, as part of its ongoing efforts to conserve wildlife and support the sustainability of coastal ecosystems.
The release comprised 34 pallas's gulls, 25 black-headed gulls, one grey heron, one common moorhen, and two abdim's storks, all now able to resume their ecological roles and help maintain ecological balance.
CEO of NWC Dr. Mohammed Qurban said that the birds were released following rehabilitation in accordance with approved scientific practices, in line with the center’s goals of sustaining wildlife, preserving ecosystems, and enhancing biodiversity.
