AlUla Oases: A Harvest of Abundance During Ramadan

During Ramadan, the oases of AlUla serve as a vital agricultural hub. They supply residents with a diverse range of fresh local produce through the Khayrat AlUla initiative. The initiative integrates various harvest seasons and highlights the region’s fertile land and longstanding farming heritage.
AlUla is a major date-producing region, with more than three million palm trees yielding around 116,000 tons annually. The area is also known for cultivating citrus fruits and mangoes.
Through year-round production of fruits, honey, and seasonal crops such as figs and grapes, AlUla’s agricultural sector supports sustainable food security and economic growth. This reflects a balance between traditional agricultural practices and modern approaches to self-sufficiency.
