Saudi Industry Minister Explores Strategic Partnerships in Indonesia's Research and Innovation Sectors

Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar AlKhorayef visited Pusat Industri Digital Indonesia 4.0 and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to learn more about the research and innovations taking place across Indonesia.

 During an official visit to Indonesia, the minister toured Pusat Industri Digital Indonesia 4.0, a national center dedicated to advancing digital transformation in the industrial sector, as well as BRIN. These visits provided an opportunity for AlKhorayef to explore the latest research efforts and innovations being developed in Indonesia to enhance collaboration between the two countries.

 Dedicated to enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian businesses, Pusat Industri Digital Indonesia 4.0 provides training, innovation support, and technical assistance to support the development of smart factories. During the visit, AlKhorayef was briefed on some of Indonesia’s latest success stories, including advancements in industrial development, renewable energy, water solutions, and technology.

 BRIN, meanwhile, is responsible for coordinating and advancing research, development, and innovation across various scientific and technological fields. During the visit, Chairman of BRIN Laksana Tri Handoko presented an overview of the agency’s work, with particular focus on the industrial and mining sectors, and welcomed cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the fields of mining, pharmaceuticals, and education.
