Five Knowledge Sites Enrich Visitor Experience at Prophet's Mosque During Ramadan

The Prophet's Mosque and its surrounding courtyards host several knowledge sites and exhibitions during the holy month of Ramadan, enriching the visitor experience with profound historical and cultural content that highlights the Prophet's biography, the mosque’s architectural evolution, and the science of Islamic manuscripts.

 The Prophet's Mosque Expansion Exhibition, located in the southern courtyard opposite exits 308 and 309, stands out among these sites. It showcases the evolution of the mosque's architecture throughout history, using modern display technologies and interactive tools to present documented information on its various expansions.

 Also in the southern courtyard, opposite exits 306 and 307, the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization offers a comprehensive educational experience. It introduces the Prophet's life, character, and approach to spreading his message through modern, easily accessible displays.

 Nearby in facility 204, the Haram Exceptional Manuscripts Showroom features a distinguished collection of historical documents and inscriptions. This exhibition traces the history of Islamic writing across the ages, further enriching the cultural and intellectual journey of visitors.

 On the western side at Gate 10, the Prophet's Mosque Library serves visitors through specialized departments, including manuscripts, rare books, and an audio library. A key destination for researchers is the manuscripts and rare books section near the Uthman Gate, which houses over 4,000 original manuscripts, approximately 60,000 digital manuscripts, 4,600 photographed copies, and 250 handwritten and 200 printed copies of the Quran.
