The Consistency of Saudi Stances at the Cairo Summit

The emergency Arab summit held in Cairo on Tuesday may be one of the most significant Arab summits, emphasizing the unity of the Arab position against Zionist schemes aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause, which remains the central issue for the nations and peoples of the Arab and Islamic worlds. The final statement of the summit delivered a clear message that the Arab world stands united in the face of Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people. It affirmed that the Middle East will not witness peace and stability unless the Palestinian people obtain their legitimate rights to independence, self-determination, and the establishment of their independent state on their national soil, as stipulated by relevant international resolutions.

The most critical message conveyed by this summit was the rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, occupy it, or annex it under any pretext. The summit presented an Arab alternative to these rejected attempts, which are dreamed of by the religious gangs governing the Zionist entity and supported by certain pro-Zionist circles within the American administration.

The world has so far failed to curb Zionist brutality or enforce international resolutions calling for an end to massacres, genocide, starvation, terrorism, and the theft of Palestinian lands, all aimed at making the lives of the Palestinian people unbearable in hopes of breaking their will and forcing them to migrate. This hypocritical world has contented itself with statements of condemnation and requests for the Zionist entity to adhere to humanitarian law, while simultaneously affirming its right to "self-defense." This implicitly suggests that the Palestinian people do not have the right to defend themselves and must either surrender or face a war of annihilation or "open the gates of hell," a phrase that has been increasingly echoed since Donald Trump assumed the American presidency.

On every occasion, Western officials do not miss the opportunity to mention the October 7 attack and accuse the Palestinians of terrorism, ignoring the fact that the Palestinian people are victims of Jewish settler colonialism on their land. The Zionist entity's rejection of all peace agreements and initiatives is the primary reason behind the continued legitimate resistance of this people, who cling to their right to life.

Thus, the final statement of the Arab summit placed the world before its legal and moral responsibilities. It is unreasonable for European nations to rally to Ukraine's defense to the point of clashing with the American administration, while simultaneously groveling before the Zionist entity, which threatens the security of neighboring Arab states and implements barbaric biblical policies to expand into the heart of the Arab world.

Observers noted that the Arab stance was the result of efforts by Saudi leadership to unify the Arab front against existential threats, including the recent summit hosted by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, which brought together Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah II, and leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Our Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's steadfast position rejecting the displacement of Palestinians from their land and any infringement on the rights of the Palestinian people. He called for international guarantees to solidify a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which the lying Prime Minister of the Zionist entity is trying to evade and undermine by any means necessary.

This Saudi stance is not new but serves to reaffirm the reality that the Kingdom's leadership will not abandon the Palestinian people, nor will it compromise their cause or leave them alone in the face of the Zionist criminal machine. The Kingdom wanted to send a message to those promoting normalization narratives that it will not offer this entity a free gift, no matter the pressure. If they want peace, they must accept our conditions, as despite their mischief and escalating threats, they need the Kingdom more than it needs them.

The American request for Saudi Arabia to host preliminary Russian-American talks to halt the war in Ukraine is an acknowledgment of the Kingdom's significant political weight on the international stage. Therefore, the American administration and European nations will not ultimately jeopardize their numerous interests with the Kingdom and will be compelled to reconsider their policies with this adventurous entity. Perhaps Trump will sacrifice his friend Netanyahu, just as he sacrificed the Ukrainian president.

In the battle of interests and amidst these shifting global dynamics and tariff wars, the Saudi stance becomes decisive. This stance is supported by the Arab and Islamic worlds and by many nations awaiting the opportunity to free themselves from Zionist blackmail and impose a just political solution to the Palestinian issue. In this endeavor, the Kingdom retains numerous pressure cards, including its partnership with the Joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee, the Kingdom of Norway, the European Union, and the International Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution. The Kingdom hosted the first meeting of this alliance, attended by representatives from nearly 90 countries and international organizations—a gathering that the leaders of the Zionist entity, pursued worldwide for committing war crimes against the Palestinian people, could not even dream of convening, even in their wildest imaginations.
