KSrelief Supervisor General: Saudi Arabia's Humanitarian Aid Exceeds $142 Billion in 173 Countries

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah affirmed Saudi Arabia’s pioneering role in humanitarian work, leading the Arab world and ranking among the top globally.

Speaking during a lecture on humanity in medicine yesterday at the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, Al Rabeeah stated that since 1975, the Kingdom has implemented 8,406 humanitarian, relief, development, and charitable projects valued at over $142 billion across 173 countries.

Under the guidance of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, this work has gained a global dimension. Since its establishment in 2015, KSrelief has executed 3,881 projects worth over $8.25 billion across 109 countries, focusing on vital sectors such as health, food security, education, and water.

He highlighted several specialized KSrelief programs, including Masam for clearing landmines in Yemen, prosthetic limb centers, and the Kafak project for child reintegration.

Al Rabeeah also cited the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program, which has successfully performed 67 separation surgeries and assessed 152 cases from 28 countries since 1990.

Furthermore, KSrelief contributed $100 million to the Islamic Development Bank Group’s Lives and Livelihoods Fund in 2025, which is expected to benefit 200 million people across 37 member countries.

Al Rabeeah concluded by calling for stronger strategic partnerships, especially with the private sector, and linking humanitarian, development, and peace efforts globally.
