National Center for Wildlife Earns ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification
The National Center for Wildlife has obtained ISO 14001 certification for environmental management after meeting the requirements of the internationally recognized standard aimed at improving environmental performance and reducing the impacts associated with operational activities, in support of its efforts to protect natural resources and enhance environmental sustainability.
The center noted that earning the certification is the result of developing effective environmental management systems that include improved waste management, the application of precise controls to reduce pollution, rationalization of resource use, and the enhancement of operational procedures to ensure compliance with national and international environmental requirements.
The center has adopted methodologies to measure environmental performance, assess risks, and implement corrective programs that enhance the quality of field operations.
It noted that ISO 14001 certification reflects the integration of environmental considerations across all operational stages, contributing to improved efficiency of environmental programs and boosting the center’s role in protecting biodiversity and reducing pressures on ecosystems.
The certification comes as part of the center’s commitment to adopting the best global practices in environmental management and building an operational framework that supports sustainability.
The center stressed that this achievement represents an important addition to its institutional development path, enhancing its ability to manage natural resources more efficiently and contributing to the Kingdom’s environmental protection goals and the sustainability of ecosystems.
