SDAIA Invites Public, Stakeholders to Share Feedback on Draft Amendments to Personal Data Protection Law’s Implementing Regulation
The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has called on the public and stakeholders to share their feedback on the draft amendments to the implementing regulation of the Personal Data Protection Law through the unified electronic Public Consultation Platform (Istitlaa). This initiative aims to enhance stakeholder and expert participation, both institutional and individual, in shaping the regulatory environment for data in the Kingdom and in achieving the objectives related to data sector governance.
The draft amendments aim to clarify the procedures and controls outlined in the implementing regulation, enabling entities and individuals subject to the law to better comply with its provisions. The changes also aim to support enforcement procedures and ensure the law fulfills its purpose in protecting personal data, safeguarding individuals’ rights, and boosting confidence in services based on personal data processing.
