SDAIA Launches Guidelines, Tool to Assess Risks of Personal Data Transfer Outside Kingdom

The Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) launched guidelines aimed at clarifying the essential stages and detailed steps for assessing the risks associated with transferring personal data. The document identifies relevant concepts with a focus on key measures to evaluate the potential negative impacts and risks that may arise from the processing of personal data.
SDAIA also developed a supportive tool for assessing the risks of transferring personal data beyond the Kingdom. The tool is available to registrants on the National Data Governance Platform, reinforcing the authority’s national efforts to enhance compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law.
The initiative reflects SDAIA's commitment to uphold the highest standards of personal data protection and to foster trust in digital transactions, in line with Vision 2030. The guidelines are part of efforts aimed at building a data-driven economy based on AI.
