Tourism Minister: Saudi Arabia's Participation in Davos Aims to Unlock Joint Investment Opportunities
Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb affirmed that Saudi Arabia's participation in the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos aligns with its leadership in strengthening international cooperation and building partnerships that translate dialogue into tangible results.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Al-Khateeb said that this participation extends the Kingdom's approach to opening joint investment opportunities in vital sectors, particularly tourism. He noted that Saudi Arabia has become a new global tourism powerhouse and a rapidly developing model for creating competitive destinations, reflecting its growing prominence on the international map.
Al-Khateeb further stated that tourism is an integrated system linked to infrastructure, job creation, innovation, community empowerment, and urban competitiveness. Participation in Davos will highlight the importance of developing tourism experiences and service quality to ensure sustainable growth that balances high demand with added value, while preserving cultural identity and natural resources.
The minister viewed the forum as an opportunity to activate international efforts to improve quality of life and support responsible innovation that prioritizes people in policy-making. He emphasized that measuring results, enhancing transparency, and exchanging experiences is the fastest way to achieve balanced development and real community opportunities.
