Holy Quran Museum in Hira District: Cultural Landmark Displays Precious Manuscripts

The recently opened Holy Quran Museum in Makkah, located at the base of Mount Hira as part of the Hira Cultural District project, holds deep historical and spiritual significance as the site where the first verses of the Holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The museum, the first of its kind in Makkah, is dedicated to the Holy Quran and features an exceptional collection of rare Quranic manuscripts from various Islamic eras. Visitors can explore the Quran's profound impact on Islamic civilization through detailed exhibits and modern interactive technologies. The museum also highlights the meticulous care given to preserving the Quran and its enduring significance for Muslims worldwide.
The Hira Cultural District, a year-round destination for pilgrims and visitors, is strategically located near King Faisal Road, connecting Makkah and Taif. The project is managed by the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, in collaboration with the Makkah Region Principality.
