SAMA Headquarters Receives LEED Gold Certification for Green Buildings
The Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) renovation project of its Riyadh headquarters has received LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). This prestigious recognition underscores SAMA’s commitment to environmental sustainability and its alignment with Saudi Vision 2030’s sustainability goals.
LEED, which stands for "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design," is the world’s most widely used green building rating system. It provides a framework for creating healthy, highly efficient, and cost-effective green buildings while delivering environmental, social, and governance benefits.
The LEED rating system evaluates and measures a facility’s environmental impact and performance through various criteria, including location, energy and water efficiency, carbon dioxide emissions, environmental responsibility, and operational efficiency.
