Saudi Arabia Participates in International Behavioral Public Policy Conference
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, represented by the Riyadh Behavioral Insights Center and the ministry’s Social Insurance and Empowerment Agency, participated in the 3rd annual International Behavioral Public Policy Conference.
The conference, held this year in the United Kingdom, saw the attendance of prominent behavioral public policy figures from around the world.
The ministry's team presented three working papers during the conference, focusing on behavioral experiments in the labor market. The papers highlighted the meeting points between behavioral sciences and public policies, showcasing innovative experiments conducted by the Riyadh center.
These experiments examined the impact of social norms on socially acceptable job opportunities and the use of behaviorally designed messages to increase user response.
One paper reviewed the results of a behavioral experiment on increasing interest in entrepreneurship among graduate students in Saudi Arabia.
The special participation of the Riyadh center was an added value in enhancing efforts in behavioral insights in line with the strategic capabilities of the center and the Group of Twenty (G20) network.
Its participation aims to globally acknowledge the center's output by providing opportunities for participation and measuring its research according to international standards. It seeks to enhance experience and foster future collaborations through direct dialogues with leading international figures in behavioral public policies.
Through its participation, the center also aimed to leverage educational partnerships, facilitate knowledge exchange, and strengthen potential cooperation with other behavioral insights units and academic institutions, thus enhancing the center's strategic position within the global community.
