In Numbers: SBA Reviews Hajj Season 1447 AH Achievements
The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) reviewed its achievements during the 1447 AH Hajj season, highlighting its comprehensive media coverage of Hajj rituals through an integrated operational and production ecosystem that leveraged national expertise and advanced technologies to convey the season’s events to audiences around the world.
Through its television and radio channels and digital platforms, SBA delivered diverse media content documenting the various stages of the Hajj season and showcasing the Kingdom’s organizational, service, and humanitarian efforts to facilitate pilgrims’ performance of the rituals.
The authority reported more than 700 hours of live broadcasting across its television and radio networks during the season, supported by over 729 employees specializing in broadcasting, production, and operations.
SBA presented 41 television and radio programs and produced three documentaries highlighting the humanitarian, historical, and media dimensions of Hajj.
The authority also produced 700 news stories, broadcast more than 320 television and media reports, aired 108 radio and television segments, and hosted more than 1,100 guests across its television and radio platforms.
The coverage documented the various stages of the pilgrims’ journey, showcasing the services provided in the holy sites as well as the organizational, technical, and humanitarian efforts that contributed to the success of the Hajj season.
On the digital front, SBA produced 62 digital media products published through its official social media platforms, expanding the reach of Hajj-related content and engaging a broad audience.
The authority said these achievements reflect its role in conveying the Kingdom’s message to the world and highlighting the care devoted to serving pilgrims through professional media coverage that documented one of Islam’s greatest rituals in its spiritual, humanitarian, and organizational dimensions.
