KSrelief Supervisor General Launches Sama’a Program for Hearing Rehabilitation in Turkiye’s Hatay

Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr Abdullah Al Rabeeah has inaugurated the "Saudi Sama’a" Volunteer Program for Cochlear Implantation and Hearing Rehabilitation in the Turkish province of Hatay.
Al Rabeeah launched the program's first, second, and third phases to support individuals affected by the earthquake in Syria and Türkiye. The launch took place in the presence of Hatay Governor Mustafa Masatli and several officials.
The program is the largest volunteer humanitarian event worldwide for cochlear implantation and auditory rehabilitation.
Throughout the program's phases, 120 cochlear implantations will be performed, and 375 hearing aids will be distributed to children from Syria and Türkiye who were affected by the earthquake in Hatay. A total of 495 children will benefit from these procedures.
Moreover, 24 volunteer programs in the field of cochlear implantation will be implemented, benefiting 940 individuals at various stages of the project. These programs include intensive rehabilitation for hearing-impaired individuals following their surgical procedures.
The initiative is part of the relief programs implemented by Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to provide assistance to individuals in need and those affected worldwide.
