Saudi Tourism Authority Holds Promotional Meeting in Moscow

The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) held a promotional meeting in Moscow, accompanied by several of its partners. The meeting, attended by officials from both countries and major companies in the Russian tourism sector, showcased areas of cooperation and highlighted Saudi tourist destinations' readiness to welcome visitors from the Russian Federation.

The meeting aims to attract new segments of international tourists from key markets and to sign agreements, memoranda of understanding, and strategic partnerships with leading global tourism companies. It also seeks to boost Saudi Arabia's position on the global tourism map, building on the successes of the "This Land is Calling" international campaign, which targets Russia and several European Union countries.

As part of STA's ongoing efforts to attract tourists to the Kingdom, the authority signed several agreements in June with Yandex and Avia Sales companies to enhance the Russian tourist experience and ensure a smooth, enjoyable, and safe journey.

CEO and Board Member of the STA Fahd Hamidaddin stressed that this meeting underscores the importance of the Russian market to Saudi Arabia and reflects fruitful cooperation between the two nations in tourism. He highlighted that the Kingdom is fully prepared to welcome tourists from Russia, following significant efforts to simplify procedures, provide services, and answer queries.

Hamidaddin voiced anticipation for Russian tourists to experience Saudi hospitality, authentic culture, and the variety of packages and offerings tailored to their preferences.
