ACP, Delta Sign Agreement to Support Direct Riyadh-Atlanta Flights at WTM Spotlight

The Air Connectivity Program (ACP) signed a cooperation agreement today with Delta Air Lines on the sidelines of the WTM Spotlight Riyadh.

 The move aims to strengthen direct air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and the United States and expand the Kingdom's network of international destinations.

 The agreement seeks to support the launch of direct flights between Atlanta and Riyadh, making it easier for travelers from the US market to reach Saudi Arabia and expanding travel options for visitors and passengers between the two countries.

 The new route is expected to provide more than 85,000 round-trip seats annually between Atlanta and Riyadh, operated with Airbus A350 aircraft. The route will increase seat capacity and help boost travel and tourism between Saudi Arabia and the US.

 "The cooperation agreement with Delta Air Lines represents a strategic step toward strengthening direct air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and the United States of America," CEO of the Air Connectivity Program Ahmed Albrahim said.

 He added that the direct Riyadh-Atlanta route will provide access to a broad network of destinations served by Delta across North America. The service makes it easier to reach Saudi Arabia from a number of priority markets and cities and expands travel options for international visitors.

 Albrahim noted that "cooperation with one of the world's leading airlines builds on the Air Connectivity Program's efforts to develop strategically valuable routes."

 These routes, he explained, go beyond connecting two cities directly and help expand access to Saudi Arabia through airlines' global connectivity networks.

 "We continue to work with our partners across the aviation and tourism sectors to attract more international carriers and increase seat capacity from target markets," Albrahim emphasized.

 These efforts aim to support the growth of international tourism and contribute to the objectives of the Aviation Programme and Saudi Vision 2030.

 The agreement supports ACP's efforts to expand Saudi Arabia's international air connectivity, attract global airlines, and develop direct routes to priority markets. The program seeks to boost tourism and improve international visitors' access to destinations across the Kingdom.

 The move reflects growing cooperation with international carriers and ACP's role in advancing the objectives of the tourism and aviation ecosystems and reinforcing Saudi Arabia's position as a global tourism destination.
