The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) has launched the first edition of the MODON Excellence Award, focusing on excellence in the industrial sector, with a total of 12 awards available for winning factories and individuals. This initiative aims to create a positive impact on the economic, environmental, and social sectors while enhancing the development of a promising and sustainable industrial environment.
The award includes three main categories and 12 subcategories. These are: the Individuals category in the industrial sector, with two branches—Leadership Excellence and Promising Woman; the Small Enterprises category; and the Medium and Large Enterprises category, which will compete across 10 branches, including Human Capital Development, Digital Transformation, Innovation and Leadership in Industry, Environmental Sustainability, and Social Responsibility.
Registration for the award began on October 17 and will continue until November 10 via https://award.modon.gov.sa/. The award offers an opportunity to highlight leadership and excellence in the industrial sector, recognize the achievements of factories and individuals in driving transformation, improve performance levels, encourage innovation and excellence, and motivate leaders. It also supports women's participation in the industrial field, aligning with the goals of the National Industrial Strategy and the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030.
The award aims to stimulate and develop the environment of industrial cities and technology zones, promote sustainable environmental practices in production processes, adopt industrial technologies to achieve operational efficiency, encourage improvements in the quality of products and services, and apply automation across various operations and procedures.
