Saudi Arabia Launches Support Awareness Campaign on International Day of Persons with Disabilities

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, observed annually on December 3, the Saudi Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their aspirations, improving their quality of life, removing barriers that hinder their potential, and ensuring their full integration in all aspects of society and development.
To mark this day, the authority has launched a campaign to raise awareness about some invisible disabilities, such as psychological challenges, sensory difficulties, mild motor impairments, and other conditions that are frequently misconceived or overlooked in society.
The campaign's objective aims to enhance societal awareness of the challenges faced by individuals with invisible disabilities, promote a more inclusive society that acknowledges the diverse needs of all its members, and emphasize the importance of fostering a supportive environment that empowers these individuals to navigate their daily lives in a society that ensures equal opportunities for all.
Such campaigns are crucial in strengthening the role of disabled persons in society, improving the services provided to them, increasing recognition of their rights, and supporting their journey toward success.
