Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Inaugurate, Lay Foundation Stones for many Projects, related to Wa'ad Al-Shamal Industrial City, on Thursday
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
will inaugurate the first phase of Wa'ad al-Shamal Industrial City
project and lay down foundation stones for other projects, in Tarif
Governorate, in the presence of HRH the Crown.
The first phase cost of the city is estimated at SR55 billion. On
the other hand, the King will lay down, also, the foundation stone for
projects and facilities of the second phase of the city, worth SR30
billion, during his visit to the northern border region.
Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khaled bin
Abdulaziz Al-Faleh, in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA)
praised the royal patronage for launching the industrial city of Wa'ad
Al-Shamal, stressing that the efforts exerted by the Custodian of the
Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, for further strengthening of
national economy, in accordance with the vision of 2030, indicating that
the move is a pride that appreciated by all citizens and admiration of
the entire world.
The Kingdom's plans for the development of national industry and
logistics sector, is among the most important programs for
implementation of the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, as
they are the foundation of such a project for a new phase of sustainable
development, economic prosperity and diversification of sources of the
national income, he concluded.
