The reactions of the international community on the document of the Riyadh Agreement between the Yemeni legitimate government and the Southern Transitional Council (STC), in response to the cordial invitation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, with the support of the Emirati brothers, expressed many thanks and appreciation for the Kingdom's efforts to restore security and stability in Yemen and the region, considering the document as an important step to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.
This agreement is a message to the world that the dispute between the Yemeni parties can be resolved politically. The Crown Prince said: "The day when the Yemenis gather is a day of joy for the Kingdom. Since the era of its founder, King Abdulaziz, may his soul rest in peace, the Kingdom sides with Yemen, and will always do, seeking its stability and prosperity, and confident that the wisdom of its people rise above all challenges. We ask Allah Almighty to make it a good start for a new phase of stability, construction and development in Yemen, and the Kingdom will always be with you as it has always been."
Since the onset of the Yemeni crisis, and in response to the request of the legitimate president to stop the foreign interventions carried out by the Iranian-backed Houthis who seeks to spread sectarianism and chaos, the Kingdom's policy focuses on supporting the Yemeni people, and achieving understandings among the Yemeni components, to reach a political solution to the crisis, and restore security, stability and development to this dear country.
The Kingdom is keen to provide full support to the Yemeni people and their legitimate government and end the coup of Houthi militias. It has supported Yemen in all political, economic, military, developmental and relief fields in all governorates. It offered its wealth and sacrificed the lives of its soldiers on the Yemeni soil to bring normalcy back to this brotherly country, and to protect national Arab security. It has not ceased its humanitarian support to the Yemeni people, which, since the onset of the crisis, has totaled up more than USD 14 billion, equivalent to SR 52 billion.
Everyone agrees that the ball is now in the Yemeni court, in light of everyone's sincere intentions to reach solution. This agreement confirms that the Yemenis can unite their word with their various components, away from divisions, or side battles away from the main issue, cooperate to preserve Yemen's achievements, unity and sovereignty and reject the Iranian sectarian plans and take into consideration the Yemen's interest as paramount.
