Police seize cash, jewelry from Yemeni resident
Radwan police seized SR 150,000 in cash and 16 kilograms of gold jewelry from a Yemeni motorist on the Riyadh-Makkah highway.
Police at a checkpoint in Radwan, north of Taif city, stopped him on suspicion and searched his car where the cash and jewelry were found kept in three bags.
Further investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, the Riyadh police arrested two men, an Afghan and a Pakistani, for looting shops and pharmacies in the capital.
The two, both in their 20s, were under surveillance ever since the police received information about the two men and of their crimes using stolen vehicles.
They were arrested while they were trying to rob a pharmacy in the Qurtoba neighborhood.
They admitted to six burglaries at pharmacies and robbing two cars at gunpoint.
