Message To The World

Once more, the Kingdom affirms that the service of the pilgrims of Hajj and Umrah is a great honor that is second to none, harnessing for it all the necessary human and material resources and is diligent in fulfilling this task all around the clock, seeking reward from Allah Almighty.

The Kingdom's interest in the Hajj season increases year after year. Every season, the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques announces initiatives, projects and plans to develop the overall performance of the holy sites and strengthen the services provided to the pilgrims to be at the highest possible level.

This was suggested by the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah region and Head of the Central Hajj Committee, Prince Khaled Al Faisal, who announced at the press conference held yesterday, to start turning Makkah into a smart city that meets the needs of pilgrims.

He also announced a host of new projects that fall within the objectives of Vision 2030 which promised to receive about 30 million Hajj and Umrah pilgrims every year, including five million Hajj pilgrims.

The most important thing emphasized by Prince Khaled Al Faisal in the press conference was the Kingdom's keenness to strengthen the Hajj regulations, prevent manipulation and disorganization and restrict it to those who hold official permits.

That is why more than 144.000 illegal vehicles carrying pilgrims returned, 15 people transporting the pilgrims illegally were kept in and 181 fake Hajj offices were closed.

The press conference has not been without any clear assertions that the Kingdom will never be dragged into offences and polemics aimed at distracting it from serving the pilgrims in the way it pleases Allah almighty.

Prince Khaled Al Faisal's speech was clear and direct when he commented on the obstacles set by the Government of Qatar in the face of is citizens seeking to perform Hajj, saying that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is responsible for what it does, not for what others do.

He followed that by words, reflecting the matter of principle pursued by the Kingdom, which are: "We have opened our doors and our hearts to receive pilgrims from anywhere. We serve them equally, and welcome them into the holy lands."

The speech of Prince Al Faisal sends an important message to the whole world confirming that the Kingdom will never hesitate to serve the pilgrims of all races of the globe, and that it does not differentiate between pilgrims while performing rituals or between one nationality and another, believing that everyone is equal before Allah, and it will always maintain such an approach even if some attempt to drag the Kingdom into pitfalls working on politicizing the Hajj, a matter that the Kingdom refuses and stands against.
