Shura Council Participate in Women Leaders Global Forum

The Women Leaders Global Forum was concluded yesterday in the Republic
of Lithuania, with the participation of Shura Council's delegation
consisting of Shura Council Members Dr. Alia Al-Dahlawi, Dr. Mody
Al-Khalaf and Noura Al-Shaaban, it was reported here today.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Al-Dahlawi, said that the great
support provided by the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of
the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal
Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince,
Vice President of the Council of Ministers, and Minister of Defense, to
Saudi women, enabled them to participate in various fields of
development, decision-making processes, derived from Saudi Vision 2030
and the National Transformation 2020 program, which included development
plans for various sectors, and many plans that achieve women's
empowerment in different fields.

Dr. Al-Dahlawi pointed out that the educational opportunities and
scholarships offered by the government to Saudi women, had their
positive impact in enhancing the status and role of women in various
fields and contributed to increasing employment opportunities for women
in many fields, which raised the participation of women in the labor
market.

She cited the recent election of Dr. Tamadur Al-Rammah, Deputy
Minister of Labor and Social Development and Saudi nominee to the
membership of the committee on the Elimination of all forms of
Discrimination Against Women, an affiliate of the Convention on the
Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
