GAMEP, SGS and Civil Defense: Earthquake in North-west of Madinah is weak and not dangerous
Official statement of the General Authority of Meteorology and Environment Protection and the Saudi Geological Survey cleared out that the earthquake occurred in north-west of Madinah is very weak and not dangerous.
According to its national center for recording earthquake, the GAMEP and the SGS monitored here today, at 14:59 pm local time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 on the Richter scale, 14 kilometers north-west of Madinah.
The Civil Defense in Madinah Region disclosed that the Control Center at the Civil Defense received, at 15:00 pm on Tuesday 29/4/1439H, reports from people in the western sectors in Madinah on an earthquake, where the Saudi Geological Survey announced that 14km north-west area of Madinah experienced 2.5 magnitude earthquake at 14:59 pm today.
In a statement to Saudi press Agency (SPA), the Civil Defense added that no damages have been caused by earthquake that jolted Madinah today until now.
