Kuwait Airways denies report of banning Qataris
Kuwait Airways has denied receiving any instructions from Saudi authorities to ban Qatari nationals from travelling to the Kingdom to perform Umrah.
The company confirmed in a tweet on Sunday that it has never being instructed by Saudi authorities not to board any Qatari national planning to travel to Makkah to perform Umrah.
The company's chairman of the board of directors Yousef Al-Jassim denied reports accusing the kingdom of doing this, and added that Saudi authorities have designated the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and the Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport in Madinah to welcome Qatari nationals arriving to perform Umrah.
Some media circles and social media have recently claimed that Kuwait Airways received instructions from the Saudi authorities to prevent Qatari nationals from performing Umrah.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom announced last week that the Kingdom welcomes the Qatari brothers to come to Umrah, in light of the intransigence of the Qatari authorities and their negative attitude towards not enabling Qataris to perform Hajj and Umrah.
