Saudi Arabia: Citizens married to foreigners are allowed to travel through the Kingdom's border points

Saudi Arabia has authorized citizens married to foreigners to travel through border points, a measure meant to facilitate their movements during the current suspension of international flights because of the pandemic.
The General Directorate of Passports, at the Saudi Ministry of Interior, announced today, Wdenesday February 24, all Saudi citizens married to non-Saudis are allowed to travel directly through the Kingdom's border points, if they are accompanying their families or to join them abroad, once the the matter is officially verified on the spot.
The General Directorate of Passports stated that Saudi females married to non-Saudis are allowed to travel directly through the the Kingdom's border points, if they are accompanying their husbands or would like to join their husbands abroad, and the same matter is applicable to Saudis males married to non-Saudi who happen to be residing outside the Kingdom but were unable to return due to whatever. In the case that a Saudi citizen cannot provide documents that prove his wife’s presence outside, making it impossible for her to travel to Saudi Arabia, he will have the option to apply for a travel permit through Absher electronic application, attaching all the required documents.
