Sri Lanka inflation hits 45.3% in May, highest this year
Sri Lanka's inflation hit its highest level this year, rising to 45.3 per cent in May, the statistics department said on Tuesday, as the island nation grapples with its worst economic crisis in seven decades.
Food inflation reached 58 per cent in May, an increase from 45.1 per cent in April, the statistics department said.
