Iranian military commander acknowledges his country's responsibility for attack on Saudi oil tankers
An Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander acknowledged his country's responsibility for the terrorist attack on two Saudi oil tankers off Yemen coast while sailing in international waters in the Red Sea.
Major General Nasser Shaabani said orders have been issued to the Houthis to hit the Saudi ships. Shaabani said that Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen are Iran's strategic depth in the Middle East region.
He confirmed the existence of problems in Iran and said that the situation foreshadows a global war, whose geographical scope will be in Southwest Asia(the Middle East).
The two tankers with shipments of oil from the Kingdom came under missiles attack near the Yemeni port of Hodeida.
