Live World Cup matches to be shown on giant screen on Eid Days

Extensive arrangements are  being made in the capital of Riyadh for the Riyadh World Cup fans to watch the matches in Russia through a giant screen in Riyadh.
According to a spokesman from the Riyadh Development Authority plans are being carried out to set up giant screens at the southern plaza of Al-Masamak Fortress where the Riyadh World Cup fans can watch the 2018 World Cup matches.
“The arrangements are being made since the World Cup is being held during the Eid Al-Fitr celebrations in the Kingdom,” he said.
“Such an arrangement will add to the thrill and pleasure of the Eid festivities and would create a festive atmosphere of enthusiasm,” he said.
The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) announced here  that it will organize 400 events across 23 cities on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, which is is set for the end of the week.
The events include fireworks, carnivals, folklore and circus performances, as well as many other diverse methods of celebration.
In February, Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA) announced that it will stage more than 5,000 festivals and concerts in 2018, double the number of last year, and pump $64 billion in the sector in the coming decade.
Besides  screening of the live World Cup matches on a giant screen, The Riyadh Development Authority (RDA)  has also  organized a series of celebrations for three days to mark  the Eid Al-Fitr this week .
Under the program, the  Riyadh Development Authority (RDA) , has organized numerous activities at  Al-Hakam Palace in downtown Riyadh during the first three days of Eid Al-Fitr under the slogan "Rizana Eid".
This year's celebrations will feature  a carnival atmosphere and diverse and interesting events will  combine the originality of the past, which stems from the value of the place and the uniqueness of the  national heritage with the contemporary spirit of using modern technology in most recreational, educational and educational activities aimed at all segments of society.
The events will take place during the three days of Eid from 4 pm to 12 pm. The venues of the events will be spread out in a fair manner in places such as , Al-Masmak Square and Al-Thamiri Avenue to  allow  visitors to move smoothly and freely.
